Building the New Park

Volunteer

Donate your time and talents to Moonridge Animal Park! Volunteers are always needed in a variety of ways. Whatever your interests or skills, there are plenty of opportunities to assist as a volunteer!

- Be a Docent!
Help others learn about our wonderful animals by leading tours of the Park for schools, church and camp groups, as well as adult vistors from around the world. We provide you with classroom training and on-site hands-on experience.

- Docent Training
Docent training classes are held once or twice a year. For current information click this line.

- Work in the Gift Shop!
It is very rewarding working in the gift shop--meeting and talking with visitors as they browse through the shop. Everyone who works in our gift shop is a volunteer.

- Lend a hand!
Are you a gardener? A builder? A handy person? Volunteers are always welcome to help with construction, painting, gardening and general maintenance. How about a unique cooking experience? Some volunteers choose to work in the kitchen helping prepare meals for the animals.

- Take the zoo on the road!
Travel with our animals and their keepers to schools and other off-site locations to provide a unique experience to people who cannot visit the Park to meet our animals.

- Help secure our future!
Help us raise vitally needed funds for the relocation of our zoo and our animals, or help create special events to generate awareness and donations.

Please call 909-878-4200 with your questions, ideas, and to find out how to get started.
